An Encounter with God

1 John 1:7

Encounter: A meeting, particularly a sudden or accidental meeting of two or more persons. Or To meet face to face; to have a meeting.

Things that transpire when we encounter God

1. Our ways become His way (will often not be what we expected) John 4: 7-9
2. We become a strange being. John 4: 27-42
3. You will experience the peace of God continually (Acts 16: 25-30)
4. It exposes the gross parts of us. John 4: 16-19
5. It reveals the truth on to us. John 4: 20-26
6. It gives us the spirit of boldness and it Build Faith (Eph 3:12, Acts 4:29, , Rom 8: 15)

Things we must engage in to have an encounter With God

1. Thou shall be born again (John 3:3-7, Acts 16: 30-32) -The term “born again” refers to a new beginning in the relationship between God and the person who is born again.
2. Thou shall read the prophetic scripture daily (Bible). Josh. 1: 8
3. Thou shall pray all the time (Phi 4:6, Jam 5:16, 1Thess. 5:17)
4. Thou shall serve the Lord thy God (Psalm 34:8) – Cornelius: Acts 10: 30-31
5. Thou shall wait for Gods time – Lamentations (3:25-26) (Moses),
6. Thou shall be sinless (Job 1:5, Job 22: 27, Job 27:6)– Samson, King Saul
7. Always ask for His mercy and grace- (Heb 4:16, Ps. 106:45)
