Title: Created For A Purpose
Text: Jer. 1:4-10
[Jer 1:4] Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
[Jer 1:5] Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
[Jer 1:6] Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
[Jer 1:7] But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
[Jer 1:8] Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
[Jer 1:9] Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
[Jer 1:10] See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
Introduction
-
The Word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah:
-
Before I formed you in the belly I knew you
-
Before you came out of the womb, I sanctified you, and ordained you as a prophet to the nations
-
You shall go to all that I send you
-
Whatsoever I command you, you shall speak
-
Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you
-
Then the Lord touched his mouth and said,
-
The Lord made Jeremiah and told him exactly the purpose for which he was created and what he was here to do
-
There are many believers walking around without any Kingdom purpose for their lives
-
We think our purpose is to work, make money, drive a fancy car, live in a big house, and live the American dream
-
These are all earthly purposes, they are not Kingdom purposes
-
There has to be more to life than making money, eating, sleeping, and repeating it the next day
-
What is your Kingdom purpose? Why did God made you and put you where you are?
-
I pray that this teaching will open our eyes to our Kingdom purposes in Jesus name
Main Topic
Created for a purpose
-
God made you in His image, just like He made Jeremiah
-
[Psa 139:14] I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
-
[1Pe 2:9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
-
God called Jeremiah in the womb, sanctified him, and ordained him as a prophet to nations
-
Ok, some of us are a little slower in hearing the call. I got called in 2008, but Moses didn’t get called until he was 80.
-
You may not be called into the five-fold ministry, but every believer is called into a Kingdom purpose
-
You have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light
-
[Mat 5:14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [Mat 5:15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. [Mat 5:16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
-
Stephen was not called into a particular office, yet he shook the place where he was serving
-
Don’t wait for a call into a five-fold ministry to fulfill your Kingdom purpose
-
Whatsoever God is commanding you to do, go and do it
-
Don’t allow fear to get in the way.
-
The God who created you is with you to deliver you
-
Bring the light of God into the darkness that is in your domain
Set over nations
-
The Lord set Jeremiah over nations and kingdoms (territory)
-
The influence of Jeremiah was determined by God
-
Your territory might not be over nations
-
It might be over your family, over your community, over your city
-
You do have a territory to influence for God
-
Whatever that territory is, it has become your nation
-
[Joh 1:12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
-
[Rom 8:19] For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
-
There is a territory awaiting your manifestation
-
Awaiting the light of God in you to shine forth
What are you created for?
-
To root out
-
To pull down
-
To destroy
-
To throw down
-
To build and,
-
To plant
What do you need for your purpose?
-
[Jer 1:9] Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
-
A touch from God – anointing
-
The Word of God
-
[Heb 4:12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
-
[Isa 55:11] So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Conclusion
-
I am created for a purpose
-
I’ve been called out of darkness into the light of God
-
I need the touch from God to fulfill my Kingdom purpose
-
I need the Word of God to fulfill my Kingdom purpose
-
I will fulfill my Kingdom purpose
