Text: Eph. 6:12

[Eph 6:12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Introduction

There are powers behind the scenes in every major step of man, to kill, to steal, and to destroy.
- [Joh 10:10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
There are times you must rise up to pray against these powers, so that you can achieve what heaven has destined for you.

Main Topic

Abraham – Powers attempted to hijack his testimony by trying to exchange the child promised him for someone else.
Moses – Pharaoh was not operating by himself. There were powers behind the scenes pushing him to act erratically against Moses
Samson – the powers behind the scenes made sure they used his weakness to capture him and derail his destiny
Daniel –
- They attempted to derail his destiny with food, it did not work.
- Powers behind the scenes put him in the lions den because they knew what his future holds, but it did not work
- Powers behind the scenes withheld the angel that was to bring answers to his prayers, it did not work either.
- [Dan 10:12] Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
- [Dan 10:13] But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
David – Too many to list. Starting with the lion, the bear, Goliath, different battles, etc.
Jesus – The devil himself showed up to tempt Jesus, in an attempt to derail His destiny – Matt. 4

Conclusion

There are powers operating behind the scenes. You can’t see them, but you see the evidence of their existence.
It is only by prayer and fasting that you can war against these powers.
